Exe Mortgages supports 12 Days of Care

Who are we?

Exe Mortgages is based in the very heart of Ottery St Mary, in Silver Street just a stone’s throw from the imposing parish church. We’re a small team of experienced advisors who aim to provide the best service possible for our clients, many of whom are very local to the office. We take pride in sourcing exactly the right mortgages and other financial products to suit individual needs. We know this is appreciated, as the majority of our work comes from recommendation – surely the best way to do business!

How do we work?

We’re very approachable and very down to earth. We know that the mortgage maze can be difficult to navigate. We also understand that people are busier than ever and don’t always have enough spare time to sort out their mortgage. Our job is to magically take away the stresses and strains, and deal with the whole process for our clients. We can help with first-time buyers, second mortgages, re-mortgaging, equity release and lifetime mortgages – as well as many of the insurances people might need. We don’t hard-sell these, rather we guide and make recommendations.

Family and community

Most of our staff have young children so we’re family-focused and know how important it is to spend quality time with our families. Football plays a big part in many of our lives, particularly our Managing Director, David Grimshaw. David is well known in the community for his passion for football, and he was a volunteer coach at Feniton for many years.

Supporting local

At Exe Mortgages we are all firm believers in supporting local – local shops, local businesses and local people – as a company we sponsor a young footballer, cricketer and two young athletes, all from the local area and all at the start of their careers. We also dig deep for local charities including Hospiscare, which is such a huge part of the East Devon community, and well-loved in Ottery St Mary.

Exe Mortgages and Hospiscare

During lockdown we saw so many fantastic fundraisers happening throughout the town as local people did their best to help Hospiscare. We all know how much charities have suffered as a consequence of Covid-19 with so many events being halted. And we know how important the service that Hospiscare provides is to our local community. This is why we’re supporting 12 Days of Care on December 21st.
